Computer TPI 350

Doin an engine swap and I need a computer from a 350 tpi with an auto trans.

Engine: 242 DOHC and an empty engine bay.

Transmission: 5R55S, T5 soon to be auto

Axle/Gears: 3.58s and soon to be 4.10s

Computer

If you mean the silver box under the dash on the passanger side I got one off a 305 TPI.... I think its what your looking for. Not positive its the same tho.

I have a 305 comp but I need a 350 comp. They have diff data. but thanks I might have one now thanks to Intruder

Axle/Gears: 3.23, 3.42, 3.23

The 305TPI and 350TPI use the '165 ECM for MAF or the '730 ECM for SD.

The chip itself is what is different between the 305TPI and the 350TPI.

oh woah that brings up next question. if I do get a 350 comp does that mean I'll be operating under SD and have to get a new wiring harness or will I still be working with MAF? I Knew that one chip was different but the SD and Maf thing is a new thing to me. thanks for tellin me about that.

Actually gm didn't use Speed density till the 90s I thought and they had Maf 350s before that so forget what I just said in the last post.

85 - 89 Used the '165 ECM (MAF)
90 - 92 Used the '730 ECM (SD)

I have one of each available. The ECM's are $50 + shipping.

Not quite true.

85 used the 870 ecm
86-89 used the 165

88cam, you need to choose the ecm you need, depending on your harness. All ecms were the same for 305s and 350s within the same year, what changed was the computer chip.
