I recently purchased an 89 IROC Convertible. Originally a 305/5spd car, the original 305 is long gone. I bought the car minus the engine. Im looking for a running date correct 305 TPI setup. I would prefer a complete engine with all the accessories, I do not need the harness. Im located just north of Chicago. Im sure some of you are saying why a 305?? But this car is too clean and virgin to hack up.

 

Not date-correct, but I have a complete good running '88 305 TPI motor.. Located in NY. Would take $400 for it.

 

I have a longblock TPI 305 complete w/ AIR system, some AC stuff, harmonic balancer, TPI Baseplate,stock flywheel, exhaust manifolds, and an alternater for $200

For $250 i'll drive an hour to meet you. It had 127k mi on it and ran fine, just burned a lil oil here and there.. but sounded very strong, ran strong too. I just swapped to my vortech headded 358ci engine.

I need to get rid of this engine because i have no where to keep it. Its been sitting at the schools auto shop for the past 5 monthns ( inside) but my instructor is gettin pretty antsy about gettin it out of there.

I've also got the stock y-pipe to cat.

I really need this thing to go. Just let me know when you want to pick it up and i'll load it in my truck and what not.. If worse comes to worse- we can go out to where i work, use the forklift to swap it from mine to yours..

 

I bought it on here. It had a bad headgasket, heads are off. I'd have to look at it again, I think it has crank rods and pistons. Probably could have been put back together with new headgaskets, but I'd freshen it up.
