I have two steering columns right now. One is from an 85 IROC without Vats, and the other is from a 92 RS with vats. Both have keys and are in great shape. $80 shipped each.

 

i have one in a 89 camaro, not sure if you guys know, but only a 89 will fit in a 89 model car, that was the changeover year, and they are all by them self, i have tried the 90-92's and they will not work, i have 2 89 model columns kety and vats box, 150.00+15.00 shipping

 

I have a non-tilt out out a 1989 Camaro..no vats box..it went missing..has a key $50 shipped

I have a 1989 camaro vats column, It's from a automatic car, has tilt and intermitent wipers and cruise. It also had the vats tumbler replaced awhile back, the column also has a stock rs wheel and doesnt have any slop. 70.00 plus shipping

will your 92 column work with a firebird harness, if it will I am interested in it, and does it have a steering wheel

88 was the first vats year. anyway as stated it is a very small range in years that work

 

not tryin to sound like a j/o or anything, im not sayin 88 didnt start vats but only 89 was a yr in its own with steering columns thats all,

 

you are right in that 88 and 89 are each there own specific part number but, I have swaped them around

 

It doesnt have a steering wheel on it but i do have a stock camaro steering wheel with airbag. I'm not sure about the firebird harness being any differnent, i wouldnt imagine it would be but cant say for sure.................jt

if I give you the column wire colors on my harness can you see if your column matches what I have. this harness I have came from a 91 or 92 firebird
