dave mc...Sorry I should clarified that I am looking for a step up from stock.
Wayne...I have a 7546 xcellerator that I am trying to sell also..it wont fit the steel L98 heads that I am buying from you....they fit pre-86 heads or aluminum 87+ heads.
The Team G will be too much as this is a street motor...I am looking for a eddy performer/perfromer RPM or compatible.
Thanks!
Mike

hmmmm....I have heard about that but never really thought about trying it.....how much do you have to elongate the holes and how much longer do those center bolt holes have to be?
Only thing I have to worry about is what intake gasket to run and if they will leak.
This is going to be my daily driver.
Thanks

Its not that big of a deal...Gaskets you run are the SAME.. In fact Aftermarket TPI manifolds come with elongated holes... All you do is buy the correct gasket for the head and your good to go..

I did my team-g that way. I just used a drill bit and slotted the center holes. You can dry fit the intake to make sure you took out enought. You dont have to remove much, and 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer bolt should work. Just use some flat washers under the head of the bolt.
There is a company that was posted here at thirdgen that had wedge washers. Might do a search on them, but most people use washers. I have seen some intakes come slotted from the company to fit either style heads.
