K&N FIPK for a 3.1L
I know K&N doesn't make a Fuel Injection Performance Kit for my car but I was wondering If they had one that I could adapt to fit my engine. I have a 1991 Camaro RS with a 3.1L 60 degree V6. I sure would appreciate someone's help.

coffee can on the intake? who says GM wasnt ahead of thier time? they just accidentally put it on the wrong end of the car (just ask any *****, or look under thier rear bumper) does the TB on this V6 still face froward so a dual snorkel lid and filters could be used?

"they accidentally put it..."\
man im still laughing at this one
yeah the TB is teh same ..only thing is that the MAF went out
90 they switched from MAF to speed density...
this is where the GM engineers took the dual snorkel out and put the single side intake in...
i tried lookin for a picture ..but couldnt find one...ill see if i can post one later(i cant post mine as i have an 89 with the dual snorkel...)
yeah the 90's stock are more restrictive than a 89 dual snorkel..
some ppl do the swap...but it takes time..since u need the whole thing including the airbox and u need a plastic pipe where the MAF was in the dual...ohh yeah and Relocate the IAT..
better than all this is to do a custom conical filter in the place where the intake is on the side on the 91 ...

YOu should just make a custom air intake kit for the V-6 using the dual snorkel. You can easily find the snorkels in a local salvage yard for a couple of bucks. The air cleaner should still mount on top of the tb just fine. All the screws to mount the snorkel should still be there, but you'll have to move the mass air flow sensor to on the snorkel, which could be expensive if you have to buy a new one.

some of the V6 airbox lids even have the IAT sensor mounted on to one side, I think yours is in the intake ducting tube, or is it in the intake (after the throttle body) plenum? dont forget to get the whole air box. and then cut out the silencers/baffles directly under the air filters. no water splashes up that high so there is no water to worry about, unless you have an inboard/outboard F-body.
