Nitro? I hope you mean Nitrous Oxide. Im not at all experience with N2O (Nitrous Oxide) but I THOUGHT that you werent supposed to use thread sealant...

Somebody chime in... Am I correct?

I'm pretty sure teflon tape will work fine.

Thread sealant isn't reccommended.. but if you need to use something, use either liquid teflon/teflon paste, or the supplied red thread locker-type liquid. Do not use teflon tape. Do not use thread locker.

use sealant only on the "pipe" sides of the fittings not on the self sealing "flare" ends of the fitting. not like this Bozo did:

luckily the install was so shoddy, that the selenoids would not fire. we do a pro install of a nitrous system including dyno for $300 to $360 depending on access to the throttle and trunk bottom. he said that was too much and said another shop woud do it for $100, so he took it there, then brought it to me for $400 worth of after repair. I had to properly install the nozzle in the tube (so the hood would quit breaking it) and fill the old hole (ugly repair hidden by cool NX sticker), fix all the fuel leaks, put in line fuses (and repair a burnt fusable link), rewire, relocate the throttle switch so that it would quit holding the throttle wide open, and rethread plenty of it. just look at these before and afters:
