Diacom readings
Diacom readings
I just ran my car at the track last night, and lets just say I wasn't happy!
My mods are in my signature. Before the 30 lb injectors I was running stock 22 lb units. My O2 voltage at WOT was hovering around 950 mv with the FMU at its full rich setting. Last night I was playing around with the FMU setting because I think I'm running too rich. Each pass I turned the screw out a 1/4 turn. I finally had it in the all the way lean position, yet I'm still getting 940 mv O2 readings. My base fuel pressure is 48 psi. With the FMU at its leanest setting, I'm getting 55 psi at WOT. I did another pass with the FMU vacuum line disconnected and plugged, so as to only run 48 psi fuel pressure. I'm still getting 925 mv O2 readings!
Is this going to require a custom chip to solve, or can I fix this by turning the base fuel pressure down until my WOT O2 voltage is correct. I was shooting for 850 mv. Is this the right value to aim for anyways? Any help would be appreciated.

With th 30 lb injectors, Trickflow heads, and the stock intake and plenum siamese ported it did a 13.59 @ 101 mph with a 2.11 60'. I dropped from 9 psi boost to 6 psi boost after swapping the heads and injectors. I just want to try and get the fuel delivery straight before I go any further.

Thanks for actually posting times. You are running the stock chip with all those mods?? What is your compression ratio? Is the computer pulling timing? What are the BLMs at??
Yes, it is the stock chip. Int and BLM before injectors and heads were upper 140's, occasionally a low 150. Now the values are around 112. It seems to me that maybe a 26 lb injector would have been perfect. If I run the base timing at 6* its a dog off the line, but I don't get any knock retard. If I bump the timing up to 10* its way faster at the low end, but I get up to 15* knock retard at higher rpms. I don't have the boost retard unit for the Crane ignition hooked up yet, but I'm hoping that will fix the timing issues.

Start doing them yourself, with that combo you wont be sorry.
15 Degrees Knock retard = serious HP loss.
I was very scared to do my own proms until i got the Pocket
Programmer and a little help at the DIY prom board,
you will find it is much easier that you would think.
Not to mention the huge drivabilty benifits!
