You cant post an image from your computer using the [img] tags.....you have to use the "attatch file" right before the "submit reply" button on the bottom

you can only use the [img] tags when your photo is already on the net somewhere

I emailed you 3 more pics, thanks 89procharged. Ok i used hedman headers flipped them and cut about a inch off of each and weled the flange on the driver side and a short elbow for the passenger side. Its not symetrical but it should be functional. I relocated the alternator and made the belt tensioner pull the other way like jester did. No AC i ditched it 2 yrs ago thats what the black Z is for I was going to mount the passenger side just like the driver but there was to much interference with the actuator and tensioner. I tac welded everything pretty bad, but my brother should have it all welded up in a few days. I just need to make a passenger down pipe, the one turbo is my friends just borrowed it. Let me knowwhat you think, keep in mind I'am new at this and doing this on a smll budget. I will be running a high dollar front mount IC and wide band computer but for know want to see what the factory ecm and small injecdtors will do. This car runs pretty good already 12.7@111mph with just unported TFW heads and SR intake and a puny cam, The guy @ the dyno said the cam is done buy 5K 321rwhp 390rwtq

Superiroc, why dont you take that passenger side and set it up like you have the drivers side with the flange pointing straight up like that. Would surely make it a little neater and keep the heat away from your strut tower over there.

Get rid of the tensioner. Get rid of that whole bracket. You dont need it. You can match an exact size belt if you HAVE to. You can come up with something to work that doesnt look as unorganzied if you are willing to engineer it a little bit more down the road.

if i was to cut the top half of the bracket and tensioner off then what? I would be interested in changing it but not sure how. I don't want to switch to v belts. Keep in mind the alternator is located down were the smog pump was.

Its not really that hard. The alternator can be mounted to the three holes in the head with a little bit of work. If you do it correctly then the alternator won't stick out past the head any, freeing up lots of room. After I did this it seemed like there was a LOT more room on that side.

ok but how do you make a belt fit without a tensioner? The belt also needs to clear everything.

yes. serpintine WP rotate counterclockwise. The impeller is rotation dependant. If you need to run the WP clockwise just go get a pump from a 87 down F-body.

Do a rough fit of how you want to place the alternator, measure the distance around all the accesories, then go to the parts store and make sure they have some belts around the size you need. When I tighten down the alternator it pulls the belt tight. Right now it's not the best setup, but it works. The belt runs from the crank to the power steering pump, around the water pump to the alternator then back to the crank. I believe that GP406Z did something like this as did DM91RS. HTH's.
