Track times for TTA
Not so good! Good mph but horrible times and still stuck at 14 psi. 13.5@108mph with a 2.35 short time(yuck)
O2 sensor is shot, will replace that after gutting the restriction in the exhaust. Then maybe i can get 19 or 20 psi and some low 12's.

I'm not even breaking the tires loose on the launch. I can't get them to haze until the 1+2 upshift. I'm using Dunlops for tires pretty mushy once heated. I used to pull 1.9 and 2.0 on **** tires with my old 350/5 speeed t/a. I' m almost sure it's the exhaust somewhere either a leak on the headers or a bottle neck.
The exhaust isn't stock anymore different cat, no flex connector, but the cat is kinda puny.I just wanna get to atleast the stock boost levels so i can dyno it. It runs great up top and the tuning issues are coming along, but i just want to be able to up the boost when the 116 is used, and get some real times down....

you need a stall converter.. your saying you can't build enough boost to launch with and spin the tires? then that's your solution. GN guys complain all the time about not being able to or taking forever to build boost at the line when they have a stock stall in there, get a 2600-3000 stall and the car just goes bananas

if its the case that he can't rev high enough to spool his t44 at the line because his stall doesnt allow it,... that in fact is a common problem. However, i'd love to hear more about it and maby give a better answer if that isn't right.

First 14 psi is a little low since stock is 16.5 psi. It's apparent he has touble making boost period. Many things can be happening. Wasegate "y" hose could be installed backwards, wrong size orifice in "y" fitting, GN's are .050", TTA's are .040", wastegate could be partially stuck open, broken. etc, etc. All creating low boost problems.
Plus a te44/ta49 is has virtually the same turbine wheel as the stock turbo. Works just fine with the stock D5 converter.
So why recommend a big $ item when it might just be flip flopping a hose.

a stock D5 is rated at 2400, and can flash a bit higher, PLENTY of guys are running that turbo on stock converters and having no problems. He needs to get his boost problem solved first, like I said, thowing a different converter in there won't cure his problem..
