Question about turbo system. Pic within.
I saved this turbo set-up pic a while back and may try to duplicate it. Does anyonw know who's car this is? Is it a single turbo, or only the drivers side of a dual set-up? Is it a cast iron exhaust manifold or a custom built header? any replies greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That car was built by Pontiac. Ive seen pictures of it before but nothing in great detail about hte motor and we all know how difficult it it so find out info about factory projects.
Its a twin turbo setup and I think it was a project to test the aerodynamics of the thirdgen pontiacs
Only heresay.

In the top photo the picture of the turbo manifold looks like rusty cast iron, I wonder if they fabbed one or used a banks, or what. I have this archive photo titled "TT92birdbuiltbyGM"

It's not a banks manifold, they have the tubo angled different and the wastegates sticking out in front, just beneath the turbo
