super ram with boost?

ok I've got a super ram just picked up and was wondering if I should sell it and get a min ram or the new holley.

I have a procharger making 15# of boost and i've never seen a test on with was better for boost.

oh yea the super ram is ported and this is a street car almost daily driven.

I have a Superram. I've use natually aspirated and now with my Vortech. You lose some bottom end power, but makes up for it on the top in a big way.

I E-mailed you a comparison test I found on somebodys site. I tried to post it here but I could not get it to work.

nice car

reading your sig, it looks like i'm building the same car just a z28

but i'm starting with a 400 block and a d1procharger but samething really. i even have the same cam from before the blower. it seemed to like the blower when i had it on last time with the stock intake. i haven't tryed the superram yet i'm wating to get the 400 built

i got your e-mail thanks

are those n\a tests or under boost. i didn't see it anywere.

because i was thinking of building a 377 out of the 400. this d1 seems to love rpm and thinking 7000 rpm is close to the max impler speed to no pully change so it wouldn't spin the hell out of it just driving around town. like i would if if i pullyed it to max impeler speed at 5500.

i was just trying to see if anyone knew how a super ram would hurt power that for up to.

just trying to be diff than everybody else, i guess. but a blown solid roller 377 shifted at about 6800 would sound bad as hell

i may just build a 406 after all

oh yea are the times in your sig before the blower

When we had our last central coast meet, there was a guy there Jeff(he posts on here sometimes) with a 383 with superram, and a vortech blower(might have been ATI cant really remember) He said that they loved eachother. His car is crazy fast!

That is my car that Brian mentioned. I have a new combo with a 383, Superram, S-trim, Trickflows, 218/224,520/520, and all the supporting goodies. A Pro Built 700R4 and Dana 44 with 3.54s. I am still learning how to drive this new set up. If there is ANY torque loss down low you cant notice it. From 3000m on up it flat out hauls the mail. I now have an EXTREME traction problem. With worn out drag radials, if I punch it from a stop I get severe tire spin thruogh second to the point of getting out of the throttle cause it is no use. I just got new drag radials this weekend. I run those on the street cause any other street tire was useless(for traction). And yes i have subframes and lca's. Next step is a adjustable torque arm and reloc. brackets. Anyway, from 3500 it just takes off and keeps pulling. Finally back out at 6200 and about110+ in third, it gets scary! The 383 loves a superram, add a blower for the icing on the cake. Also passed Cal. smog clean as a whistle. Oh yea, the old 350 with zz9, trickflows, long tube Acell runners ran 12.5 at 111. (with blower). I havnt been to the track yet with the new motor. It should rock! Jeff

The old setup was 6lbs(observed on the gauge). With the new set up I am only seeing 31/2 to 4lbs. non - intercooled. Once I get the hang of the new set up and some more traction aids I'll play with the pulleys for a little more boost.

I'll let you guys know how a 383 superram 9psi boost runs soon, waiting for a new transmission from Pro-built and some tuning. Pictures are at my website, enjoy....

Sorry to bring this post back from the grave, but I'm thinking of a SR swap onto my LT1 and I'm interested in any pics, vids, and comments you have on your SR setups.
