ATI D1-SC Belt Problems
I can't seem to get the belt on correctly. No matter which way i route it, its either too short or too long and can't get enough tension on it. Can someone show me how they have it routed with a picture illustrating your routings. I'm think they sent me the wrong belt cause i follow their instructions there is way too much slack. I have Gates K208067. Can some else tell me what pulley they have and belt their kit came with.

both passes of the belt will pass in between the two idlers. with only the "back" of the belts contacting the idlers. like this

Ok guys, I'm seriously about to ditch this thing to the nearest hill. I have since received a 4.25" pulley and a K0800660 belt and it still doesn't work. I can't get enought tension on this pulley

bad news man. they gave you the wrong belt. It's routed correctly but they goofed.:lala: If I were you i'd get some string or rope and go around the pulleys the same way you have the belt, measure the distance, and get a belt about a 1/4" smaller than your measurement. Thats what I did with my 4" pulley and I use a napa 62x1/8" belt. I have to jump it onto the pulley and it slips a bit on the top end but at least it works.
Just for the record ATI sent me the wrong belt 3x before I went and measured.

Finally i got a belt to work with it. I ended up using a K080653 Belt and it worked. Whew! Thank ***, almost ready to fire her up.
