is there a way to add N20 blowout plugs to HSR

I have the HSR and I plan on running nitrous on it. I was wondering if its posible to add a nitrous blowout plug to the plenum. Same concept as the GT 40 intake on the mustangs. They have a plug on theres that looks just like a freeze plug. Think this can be done and if so. how wold I go aobut securing one on my HSR?

buy a freeze plug,find a alum pipe or tube that it will fit in snug.
trim off a piece.

Machine a hole in the HSR plenum where you want plug
tig weld trimed plug holder in Plenum so its flush. Maybe incert some screen or make sure the trimed piece is beveled so plug cant go into plenum.

Should be easy if you can tig weld.

the freeze plugs on a mustang are just a condition of the production casting form. Like on engine blocks.

I once saw a mustang that blew one of those almost all the way through its new fiberglass hood (did alot of costly damage), where it then ricochet'd through the aluminum Be-Cool radiator. the moral of the story is, if it wouldnt have popped off all he would have lost was his 70mm throttlebody (cheap BBK).

Another mustang racer I saw in the NMRA had a backfire in his GT40 manifold (does not have the plugs) and it only blew the intake upper to lower gaskets out, bulged the plenum, which made the plenum valume larger and his car actually went faster! lol

just something to consider, a creativesolution if you will;

If you are really worried about it you could put a spring loaded "sneeze" plate like is used on a roots blower. All you would have to do is mill a flat spot drill and tap two studs anddrill a few round or one square "relief" hole under the plate. the only thing that gets ruined is the gasket, and maybe still the throttle body and upper to lower gaskets

You really don't need one in a cast manifold. I'm sure the gaskets will go long before you crack that thing. If you feel you really need one you can buy them from Hogans, barry grant, CV products.........
keep your tune-up in check and don't worry about it.

Its not me Im eworried about...its a malfunctioning soleniod getting stuck in the open position. I seen it happen twice. Besides I was thinking of this idea and wanted to get some ideas from you guys on it thats all.

The small blower pop off might be a possibility. Check out the one I made incase of a nitrous backfire on my website http://614streets.com
Go to the 2.8 section to read details about the pop off.

when i was at some street races a guy was running a 200 shot (on a basically stock motor) and it backfired right after he launched, front tires still about 6 inches off the ground, and all he did was blow up the plastic cold air tube... i even got a shard in my leg.. oh yeah it was a 5.0 mustang. as long as your at full throttle, and therefor the throttle blade is wide open it shouldn't do anything to the throttle body and or gaskets etc should it? wont it do exactly what i saw happen with the 5.0?

a little off the subject, but the same idea can be applied to any intake - my friend just put a 94 gt-40 fuel injected 347 in his 67 mustang, and he's planning on plumming a tube through that freeze plug to spray the nitrous in, and hide the solenoids under the intake manifold, im not really into hiding nitrous and claiming you dont have it because its kinda like cheating, but i still thought it was a cool idea, and again it could be applied to almost any intake
