turbo'd 383 questions?
Hey guys im dead on wantin to build a turbo'd 383 with the Holley stealth ram injection. how hard is it goin to be to obtain 6-800hp with that set up? also the bottem end is goin to be fully fordge parts, heads im not sure of something from AFR probably, cam i have no clue. probably goin to see about gettin a partial turbo kit from BBSdesigns and make my own FMIC or see if some one can custom make one for me. then top it off with the Holley stealth ram fuel injection set up. of chorse the motor will be at 8.5to1 compresson.
i just need some answers and idea's and help basiclly. if so thanx guys.

800HP is a lot of spending... have you looked at head/cam/intake kits? 383 kits? they offer kits with a wide range of HP. all ya gotta do is get a kit and fab on the turbos

then add another 2000-3000 in good parts if you use all new stuff and do it yourself.

well the car would probably be a streetbeast but also will get its fair share of track use and also a show car. once i restore the car it will be mainly show/strip car. hp will probably be fwhp so ill still have a crap load of hp to the wheels anyway.
but heres the short block ill be using, it also has options to upgrade the crank and rods and other parts that they put in the short block short block and heres the turbo kit ill be lookin at. im goin to get either a partial kit or a complete kit but not use the intake elbows since i plan on making or gettin a FMIC and plumb the system my way. turbo kit

befor you buy that short block Id make sure you specify you want around 9:1 comp. It says thats a 13:1 motor. so Im guessing it has dome pistons.
The rest looks good.

i called the company awhile ago and asked them about puttin a blower on it (at that time iwanted a blower but now i want a turbo) and he said that they can get the compression set to alomst anything i want, so he can get it down to 8.0 to 1 if i wanted but i think 8.5 to 1 is good for a boosted motor.

what kinda heads, cam , and is the holley stealth ram a good choice for a turbo set up? i wont use tpi since it dies out at 4400rpm. also with the holley stealth ram, can i just get the wiring harness from Painless and it should all bolt up and wire up the same right? my car is carbed right now so goin from that to turbo'd injected motor will be a big leap on this car.
