problem I now have with sumped gas tank

Start tuning my FAST on my turbo iroc and car is starving for fuel look at this.
I figured there are a few guys in this forum who have sumped there tank. I had a sump welded on my factory gas tank. I was advised to put some sealent to protect agaist possible rust. I call Eastwood co very reputable or so I think. They sell me two cans of gas tank sealent for like $50 I follow the instructions like they say and let the tank air out for a few weeks just to be safe. Well car is starving for fuel so I check my aeromotive ss filter before the pump and what do you know its full of white film looks like sheets of paper. The car has sat for almost a year since I sumped the tank. Not sure how to get the rest of this junk out of my tank? The only thing I can think of is a hose into the gas filler and leave the 3/8 holes open in the sump and just let it run for a few hours. Good thing is none of it got past the ss filter and into my pump or aeromotive paper filter after the pump. I'am hoping this gunk is done peeling and has just been sitting in the gas tank from when I installed the tank last spring, any suggestion.
I will be calling Eastwood tommorow not very optimistic about that.
By the way the car is up and runing good and I have someone helping me tune the car via the net and using the dataloger on the FAST ecm or atleast we will proceed ounce I fix my gas tank problem

I had a buddy use that same **** on his harley tanks. Same problem you had, it peeled of in sheets. We were able to get it all out with needle nose pliers.

I'l try to Drop it outa the parts car 2nite or2morrow and flush it out. and I'll try and find some boxes to wrap it up. We have some large ones at work that will do the job.

you'll get charged for it being oversized, the weight won't be an issue. You could probably just tape over any parts that come off and just stick a label on it, I doubt that wrapping it will make any difference...

As far as welding procedure… MIG/TIG won't make a difference. It's more about how you do it. I was having a problem with pinhole leaks at the beginning of welds and near where I tack welded it and it turned out the problem was the way some old timer showed me how to make where 2 welds come together look pretty. I used to start a little ways away and backtrack over the original weld. Turns out that you won't get a leak if you start ontop of the original weld.

And I was just thinking that if I had a spare tank sitting around… I guess I missed out.
