LPE 219 is sweet in a 383, I wish I'd never sold mine, 17 inches of vacuum, idle at 750 with a slight chop, great bottom end.

Judt looking for more ideas, since no one can give me a direct answer lol :-)
shooting for somewhere in the 220-230 range on a 114
That 219 cam does not seem bad at all :-) I know it works

Since all heads flow less on the exhaust side normally, always go for a dual pattern cam for a boosted/nitrous motor.
I personally think something in the 215/225 to 220/230 range is optimal for your combination - not too much duration to cause idle problems. Keep the LSA at 114 to 116 degrees and get as much lift as you can get (as long as your springs don't bottom out). I would also suggest a AFR Rev Kit and a stud girdle (if you can get it for Vortec heads) for valvetrain stability.

3.8trans-am,
if you decide on the lingenfelter "blower" cam i have a brand new one plus matching double valve springs that i would sell for about $225.00. my engine builder wanted a bigger cam than that for my set-up (also a supercharged 383) so it never got used.
btw, the cam specs i'm running are 226/234 -112lsa.
730hp@6200 & 700lb ft trq@3800 at the flywheel on 100 octane and 9lbs. of boost
if interested shoot me an email: z28cam2289@aol.com

Im hampered by the 300 mile a week mark this car will have to drive in :-) Everyoen from Crane to Lunati has been suggesting mid 200 teens to mid 220's for a cam.(empahsis street)
think im going for the 218-222 intake and 224-226 on the exhaust and even keep the lift at .525 or under. Mkae it alot easier for extreme mileage.
Not crazy :-) But car travels 80/94 in chicago area to and from work. has to idle for 3 hrs straight as well as bumper to bumper and all the other fun events and be civil while doing so.
I truly dont think going with a smaller cam is goin to hurt me any , especially once the turbo setup is put together im looking for 12-16psi intercooled
