What in the heak is a FMU

What in the heak is a FMU

Just curious what a FMU is. I know it has to do with superchargers. If someone could tell me what it does and what FMU stands for that would be great.

Does this take place of your fuel presure regulator? Cant your Fuel Presure regulator do it? Thats why the vacum tube is on it right?

No, No, it is inline with the return line to the tank. The vaccuum line reduces pressure. A stock FPR doesn't have a rising rate ability.

All the GM factory ones will still rise with boost, just not as greatly as the FMU..

Thanks Joe, I have never put a pressure gage on the line where I could see it under boost. Bob

Yeah, most any I've seen rises roughly 1:1 with boost.
