super ram install tips.

what are the torque specs for the plenum lid bolts, the plenum runner bolts and the runner manifold bolts?
-also, is there a way to download the SR install directions anywhere? well...i guess all i really need is the bolt specs.
-also, I tried to take off my plenum lid, but after i took the bolts out, it was stuck. What do you think the best way to do this is...thanks?

There are small bolts(4 each side I think) that go in from the outside of the plenum, up through the runners and into the plenum, then there are the bigger allen wrench bolts on the inside of the plenum, remove those, and the vaccum tubes, and the plenum should lift off. Careful of the temp sensor that's on the bottom, unclip the wire before lifting too far. It's been a while since I did my super ram, but it takes a lot of patience.

Remove the valve covers, and remove some rockers, you'll know which ones to remove when you try and get to the bottom bolts that hold the runners to the base. You'll need a long allen wrench I forgot the size. Though most are, a few of the bolts are not all the same size, make note of which bolt you pulled from where.

Good luck, and stuff rags into the runners when working, dropping a bolt down there would suck.

Just use a screw driver or something simular to pry the lid off......

Smack the top of the lid with a hard nylon mallet. It should break it loose from the gasket. You could also get a brass punch, and tap the lid on the side, again to break it loose. No need to pry, since there should be enough clearance to move it sideways. Last resort you can always remove the throttlebody, and push up w/ your hand from the inside.

Oh heh, never had my lid stuck on real bad. Mine always popped off with a big flat head screwdriver. You may be able to use some sort of solvent to break up the gasket material and sealer around the edges if all else fails.
