Fuel pressure saftey switch?

Do you guys mount the switch on the fuel rail valve? I called NX and they told me to mount the blue manifold on the valve and then the switch onto the manifold.... is this correct? or is there a different/better way to mount it?

thanks

this is how they told me to put it. Mount the blue manifold to the shrader valve......but the directions dont say to do it like this.

this is how the direction say to do it, I think? is this the correct way to do it.......on the "in" side of the fuel selonoid?

that will be fine. there is a chance being so close to where the pressure loss will be controlled that it might cause it to "cycle" needlessly. that will all depend on what pressure they have it set at.

there is certainly nothing WRONG with putting it anywhere that the fuel pressure should be all the time.

You lost me on your answer...which will be fine? being so close to what?... .....on a few pictures of peoples setups, all had the saftey switch mounted right next to the fuel selonoid and after reading the directions more and more that is how it says to have it.
I just want to make sure I doing it right for my first expierence with NO. I think the FPSS is set for 35psi by default.

anywhere on the supply line or fuel rail will do.

Correct.Either place will work.
We normally put them off the rail and then screw the line on it.The fpss comes set for 35psi but is adjustable.

How do you adjust that. Does it work like a fuel pressure regulator? Tighten for more, loosen for less? Or is it the other way around? I have one for a F.I. sys. and am now running a carbed NX kit. Can I dial it back to a single digit PSI?

Im not sure which direction, my favorite way to test when it came time to adjust was to probe the fuel pump (in the test port) to have it stay on. Then use a test light and turn the safety switch unit it shut off. that let me know when I had found the right direction to turn it for "higher pressure".

I then used a adjustable fuel pressure regulator to reduce the fuel pressure until it was at the lowest safe level I would want the switch to see (that is up to you) and made sure the switch turns off if you go any lower.

then I rehooked the wires to the switch, set the fuel pressure back to stock (or the previous setting) and went with it.

You can also use a ohm meter.
To adjust remove the rubber plug from the top of the switch.Using an Allen wrench turn clock wise to increase and counter clock wise to decrease. You wil need to adjust this with flowing fuel pressure.
