NOS(200)+300hp 305TPI = WOW 500 hp 305 TPI

With my mods that i have done to my 305 TPI, im plenty sure i should be making 300-330 hp or more naturally aspirated(at the cranck of course). If i add a 200 shot on nitrous the hp level should be outstanding for a 305 even though im sort of cheating by using NOS. WOW im exited cant wait to blow doors off of mustangs thos annoying imports and some (hmmm) 350's . Cant wait to show people at my local dragstrip what a puny 305 can do. DOnt worry i have the suspension and slicks to take care of the traction.

Just make sure that your rotating assembly can take that big of a shot. If the pistons, rods, and crank are forged, go for it. If not, you might want to rethink the size of the shot.

Don't be so confident about the stoutness of your motor. You're already using a supercharger so the cylinder pressure is pretty high. Hit it with a 200 shot of nitrous (which will fall short of 200 shot on a 305) and you will make the cylinder pressure go sky high. To make things worse, the nitrous shot will actually be more potent on the supercharged car then on a N/A car. This is becuase the nitrous will significantly cool the air charge to the motor and the blower will make more power for you. Once again, more cylinder pressure. I would expect your head gaskets to blow.

But telling you all the negative things here wouldn't help you much, would it? So here's the positive. You basic idea to use nitrous with the blower is really good. But you really need to tone down the power level. The whole advantage of using the nitrous with the blower is it will cool the air better then an intercooler. Just use a mild 75 Hp shot and you'll get waaaaaay more then 75 Hp because the blower will make your motor come alive . Now just have to figure out how to dump a ton of fuel in there when the nitrous is activated.

Whoops, I just noticed you have a T5 tranny too. That will end up exploding.

JUst got a richmond 6 speed that i plan on installing. IF u see on top of my sig u can see future mods. I dont have the blower yet. $3,000 dollar for a blower than $400.00 for installation, i decided just to get nitrous. Besides my compression is 9:6:1 blower wouldnt do much good, so ill go with 200 shot of nitrous. I only plan on using the nitrous on weekends and maybe on some cruising roads

Hey do you think if I put a 200 shot on top of my car, it would make any difference?

nice to see somebody with some brass

I would recommend a window switch connected to the solenoids or WOT switch just in case

good luck!

Damn right, who says a 305 can't boogie. just make sure you jack it up like a mother before you go prowling for rustangs.

And blockhead, i don't think nitrous is gonna help you much, with a 171mph trap speed you'd really need a 3 stage IHRA pro mod set-up to really dig in off the top.

200 horsepower @ 3000 RPM = 350 lbft of torque.

200 hp @ 5252 RPM = 200 lbft of torque.

I think you could've figured this out yourself.

jack it up like a mother (tm*)

man his set up is JACKED UP LIKE A MOTHER already!

any testing with the 200 shot yet? What is your fuel system like?

One more thing I would dump the Bosch Platinums for some copper plugs at least 1-2 steps colder

yeah i know all about that changing plugs and timing. Didnt get the nitrous yet, like i said its gonna take till june or july hell i havent even broken in the damn motor yet. Ohhhh i cant wait to test it out, I was told by many publications and other sources that i should be making 320-340hp on the crank. Adding the 200shot of nitrous what do u think my 0-60 and quarter mile time are. Any GUESSES, i have the suspension taken car of, oh and some slicks . I talked to NOS and they said i can use stock fuel lines and just order there fuel pump and i should be fine. Im getting autolite spark plugs
