Websites on supercharger's?
no, but i assure you people here can tell you more than you want to know. But if you want some info from a website, order a catalog from ATI, it tells you some info about each component of the engine and what you will need and what you dont need.
This is what i can think of off the top of my head, and is for a street supercharged motor, cuse when you get into a drag only car, its another ballgame.
Bottom end: stock is good for up to around 500hp(i've read in a few books). if you do rebuild the motor, go ahead and stick some decent pistons(JE, Ross, Weisco), keep the stock connecting rods, and have your crank checked by a shop, but keep it. also, cuse i know your wondering, keep the compression btw 9 and 9.5:1, anymore and you cant run too much boost, any less and i think you lose bottom end power(but can run hellacious amounts of boost for sure) at the expense of top end power.
Heads: Aluminum are far better for blown engines. Compared to an iron headed engine, they let you run approx. 1 point more compression or like 2 lbs more boost(and still not worry about detonation) because they can disapate heat much more quickly than iron. But aluminum heads are just cool anyways, cuse they weigh lots less and are far better for flow numbers.
Valvetrain: As far as i know, stock is good unless your building one demon of an engine. But, in my way of thinking, i'd not build a blown engine and still have the stock valvetrain.. i'd go for some 1.6 rockers and double springs. For a cam, i'd talk to Comp Cams tech. help about your specific app. But ur going to want to get one w/ at least a 112*lsa(lobe separation angel) and i BELIEVE a dual pattern, but maby its single pattern... cant remember. far as i know, stock rods and lifters are decent.
intake: logically, any intake work you do is gonna help w/flow, which is pretty critical on an engine that is flowing so much air. what are you running? tpi?
exhaust: def. go w/some headers. i've seen more than a few very fast cars that still have the stock manifold, but hey, its just more power your unleashing.
ignition: i think the stock will handle things, but a stronger ignition never did hurt anyone, so make sure the plugs/wires/cap/rotor are in decent shape(somewhat new) and get a msd 6a box. i have one, and no i havent noticed any big power increases like msd sort of claims, but i think it helps out some w/combustion.
dida miss anything? dont think so.. but im sure i could have.
