N20 legal in CA if bottle is closed, right?

I was just wondering if anyone knew the laws about Nitrous in California. When I get it, I plan to use it mainly on the track. So is it legal if I just keep the bottle closed when I drive it on the streets? Thanks.

the urban legend is that if the bottle isn't hooked up, its legal. That means no line connected. Just having it turned off isn't gonna cut it.

Hide it and you can leave your bottle on.

i dont think its illegal anywhere, i heard mabey in like CT. but i've never heard anything, dont forget juice is non-flamable and if 100% emissions friendly so theres no reason for it to be illegal, and most cops wouldnt know what it is anyhow

Am open bottle here in Fl. won't get you in trouble, but I here the same is not true in Georgia. I guess they figure if you have it, you street race it... yeah right!

I went to the nos site yesterday and there were 50 state legal kits. If you have one of those you should be able to have it hooked up all the time. Just like a supercharger would be.

50 state legal means emmisions. since n20 usually acts at wot emmissions are a non issue.
