Any quick cars using procharger.

Im not talking about 12's or 11's. More like 9 sec cars. Everyone around my part of town uses vortech to get into the 9's. Im thinking of going blown instead of using the spray, and was wondering if anyone has seen these times using a procharger. My car runs 10.90's @128 N/A.

87z 388,afr 227's, comp solid roller(256/262-.620/.632,112 sep), mini ram fitted with fogger nozzles, tpis monoblade tb,42lb inj, 3.54 gears, tremec 5spd, ,hooker long tubes, speed pro bank to bank-wb02, 17x9" roh snypers, still has A/C cruise pwr windows locks and seats.

Be unique, and build a set of turbo headers and put a T88 or something like that on there. That would get you into the 9's easily and not be the same as all the guys using Vortech.

Check out my webpage for my own Turbo Project Im doing this winter...

http://home.webworks2000.net/guido

I got sick of slipping supercharger belts, and wear n tear and decided that a turbo would be 10x as cool and function more efficiently too. And I dont have to fuss around with expensive cog belts, HD blower bearings, or slipping 8 rib belts either.

Just some thoughts.

I thought about a turbo setup guido. Cartech said they could make me a single turbo setup capable of low 9's for 6g's. Its a tossup. Since Im in school I dont have time to fab everything myself. So the blower was the cheaper easier way out. However a turbo 3rd gen is unheard of in my parts!

They are pretty much unheard of in any parts. There are a few though.

I go to school too and work full time so it can be a little slow going but I will get there! Have all winter.

You can make some good power if you use cogs.I had a set made from ASP racing for $450.With 12 rib,I was only making 8 lbs on the line and 12 down the track with a lot of black rubber dust everywhere. When I switched to cogs, the first time out it had a 60' time of 1.38 with a 2 1/2 foot wheelie.Cogs are the only way to go if you want to make some serious power.

I have been a machinist for over 11 years.I prorammed and machined my own fuel rails for the mini ram on a CNC vertical mill, throttle body plate with custom lettering engraved on it,machined tubing for the intercooler, machined my own stainless steel bolts,etc....Plus it helped that my friends were into racing in high school so I've been racing for 16 years.Hang around the pits, you can learn a lot there too, especially if they have a car like yours.

I hope I will skip the 9's and go straight into the 8's with D series.

I have heard of ASP for cog set ups, where are they and do they have a email or web page? how about their #?
Thanks
