tpi nitrous kits

My engine is an '87 tpi 350. It has cold air with a K&N and Random Tech exaust. I will make more mods in the future: intake, runners, AFPR, etc. I want a kit with an option to make less than 100hp(like 50 or 80). Would 80hp be well within my stock engines limits? NOS doesn't make one under 100 do they? Who does? Is there anything else that I should really consider getting when buying an Nitrous kit for a stock motor? Thanks for the advice guys.

I think you can get a kit like the 5151 and just put smaller jets in it. Im not 100% sure tho, because im still new to Nitrous and my 5151 wont be on for atleast another month or so

Nitrous Express makes a single stage kit adjustable from 35-150 horsepower. You can get a second stage later to add on if you wish.

the nos kit is fine, just order smaller jets to whatever size you want.

The best kit to buy will spray both fuel and Nitrous. I don't care what company you buy from. They make the dry system that use the fuel regulator to control fuel. The wet system works the best and is safe beacuse you know the fuel is being added when the system is activated. You will want to go with more than 50hp too. A 50-75hp setup does not feel like much and will make you regret spending your hard earned money. This is one of the reason that NOS sells 100HP kit for the V8. 100hp will be fine on a stock motor and you can feel the kick. good luck

I wouldnt go as far as saying that NOS stuff is junk, but I do agree with Gofaster to invest in a better company if you are not already set on NOS. I personally run a NOS system, only because in 1994, NX, Nitrous Works, and the internet were not things I was aware of at that time. I have had ZERO problems with my wet kit. Their staff and customer service is horrible if you need advice or help.

I agree with omar, the customer service is really bad, and I've heard nothing but people having problems with the customer service. As for the NOS 5151, I used it on my 305 IROC and I encountered no problems whatsoever, the instructions were great, and it was extremely easy to assemble, only took a few hours my first time. I've never used any other brand than NOS, so I don't know much about edelbrock, NXpress, Nitrous Works, or any of those.
I ran a 150 HP shot on a stock internal 305, and sprayed a whole bunch of bottles through it, it knocked off almost a full 2 seconds, and made my otherwise basically stock IROC run a 13.2 instead of a 15.1. I was really impressed with it, good luck.

So a 100 hp would be safe on all stock internal motor with the proper retard timing?

beleive it or not, but l was able to run 150 HP shot on my stock internals 305 at 6 degrees of advance, I ran several bottles through it and at the time it had about 72,000 on the clock.
