TT Vette........ Article in PHR

I get PHR & did not see this but was cruising thier web site. This is John Meaney's (the guy who build SpeedPro EFI) TT Vette. There are LOT of interesting things goign on under that hood. They dont really touch on the motor much but the rest of it is rather interesting.

Look for "Nothing short of insanity" with a picture of a blue 4th gen vette.

What I find interesting is that the cam specs of these TT motors that are making SERIOUS HP are just as secret as the NOS motors of 5 or 8 years ago. IMO, this is what makes a good motor & these guys that have dyno'd these motors & figured out what makes stupid HP are not sharing yet.

actually they did touch the motor quite a bit, it's a 400 small block with forged 8.5:1 compression JE's
Yeah it is a very cool vette. But they should have put slicks on it and seen what kind of times it would run with that 1300 hp !!! cause on street tires it "only" ran a 11.11 at 151.5 mph.
I also get PHR

I agree! with 150+mph traps 8's shouldn't be too hard. I bet if he put some slicks on and really launched, the car would probably rip in half, though.

W/o dumping a bunch of money into the trany & rear end, he would just tear stuff up with that HP. A buddy of mine used to race a C4 & you should have seen the 1/2 shafts on that thing, they were HUGE, & he was running low 10's, I can only imagine trying to put down 1300 HP.

Man, I saw that car and oh my god! 1300hp and 18mpg! Can't even put into words how incredibly cool that is. If I recall, the cam was a relatively small grind. Just goes to show that anything is possible with the right amount of money.

Looks like a 300mph ride with gears and aero mods.

I don't think any rice would want to mess with this one.

I am thinking that there are VERY few people out there, regardless of ride, that are going to want to try to mess with that car. even if they get him out of the hole, 1300 HP will chase down just about anything on the street.

Bobalos, absolutely true. But it does look like a stock Vette, which is always a target for the faster ricemobiles (Supra, RX7, and 300ZX). Imagine a race from 60mph where the Vette kicks down and pulls away from a 11 second car while burning rubber. Gives me a stiffie just thinking about it.

Come to think of it, I would PAY to see the expression on the Viper owners face, when this "stock vette" does this on the freeway next to him.

LOL
