TBI nitrous questions

im looking into getting nitrous on my mainly stock 305 tbi with 52k miles on it. i have a 2.5" catback system on it and am soon getting an open element too. i was wondering how the NOS #05153 kit is compared to other kits such as nitrous works. also what is the largest shot i can run with the stock fuel pump which i wont change till it goes cause i know its a PITA. im running ac delco rapid fire plugs that are brand new at stock gap if thats fine? and last question is i want to know what long a 16oz bottle would last compared to a 10 or 5ib bottle i know not as much but it would be a lot easier for me to hide and what not.

with a 16 ounce bottle barely a complete run i run a 150 and i maybe get a good 7 passes out of it u et the bottle get to low and it starts slowin down not enough pressure i ran 150 on my stock pump any more look to upgrade. and go with the 10lbs bottle cause if not youl be waisting ur time i usualy have 2 10lbs bottles 1 goes right in were the spare tire goes and u can have 1 for a spare at home when u run out but if ure just getting a 16 oz pointless maybe awright for a 1/8 mile pass

Here's a post from another board I'm on. This guy actually dyno tested it runs at different levels. Just goes to show how torquey the TBI engines are.

Well I got the RS to the dyno today. First NA pull was

176hp
232ft lbs

50 shot
200 hp
306tq

75 shot
230hp
325tq

100 shot
302hp
394tq

I will post the graph when they get it up.

305 TBI small cam (stock LT1 size) 6speed moser 12 bolt 4.10's On Nittor DR. on a Dyno Jet!

I was looking for 250hp and 350 tq on the 100 shot biggrin.gif I let the car cool good and got the bottle temp to 1,100 on the 100 shot. I pulls real good now. (I just need to learn to shift it faster now)

Damn 126 extra horses with a 100 shot! that's pretty sweet.

that's impressive depending on which kit he's running; don't forget NX rates in rwhp. I wouldn't risk the fuel pump if you value your engine. bite the bullet and change it, the LAST thing you wanna have happen is FP drop while spraying. I'd probably end up getting the racetronix kit and installing it with the 340M fuel pump. It's $170 but what's it gonna cost to rebulid a motor?
