Need help on lb9 NOS please...

I am a little new to the world of NOS. So, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction here... I need some recommendations for a complete nos kit please. Stock internal 305 so I need the safe recommended shot too.

Re: Need help on lb9 NOS please...

get the nos tpi system, its adjustable from 75-150 shot i beileve.. most say you can safely run up to a 150 shot on a stock motor. under wot. do you have any exhaust mods? you should also run a hotter ignition system to burn everthing up better. maybe do a search and check for what spark plug gap is the best for ya..

Here's the one I'm planning to get. Looks like the best value in a start up kit.

Re: Need help on lb9 NOS please...

I just finished installing a NOS# 5151 kit on mine. I went toward the safety route and installed a fuel pressure safety switch, 75hp jets to start off and all the accessories: purge kit, bottle heater, bottle blanket, and around $30 worth of A/N plumbing for the schrader valve. I knew I was going to add some HP in the future so I started to replace the fuel pump and added 24# SVO injectors last year. Whole system around $800

Re: Need help on lb9 NOS please...

I went with an Edelbrock purge kit. P/N 72176 around $105. It comes with a long flexable plastic tubeing. I'll post some pics of purge and bottle mounting.

Re: Need help on lb9 NOS please...

everything I needed, I taped into a hot wire under the console for the power. The one thing I did add to the TPI NOS was an extension to the TPS on the throttle body.

Re: Need help on lb9 NOS please...

Being you have a manual transmission, a window switch wouldn't be a bad idea. It's a cheap investement compared to a missed shift and a broken motor.
