Re: whats missing

the stick welder although its a pita to use actually welded pretty good, i had a test run overnight i attached a twenty five pound weight to the end of test pipe and the weld didnt break nor rupture, so far so good, just hope it can hold boost

Re: whats missing

Is that a Chicago Electric 80Amp DC stick 115v input? It will weld pipes together, but will never weld pipe to a header flange without pre-heat or multiple passes.

You can turn that into a TIG welder and do the pipes if it is DC output. All you need is a torch with a gas valve, a regulator, and a bottle of argon. A MIG would have been easier in the long run, but that ARC will work for most of the stuff if it is steel or stainless steel.

Re: whats missing

yeah everything is plain old steel, gonna get painted with high heat paint when its done and wrapped with some exhaust wrap. I plan on making a decent weld from the header flange/cast iron(cutting off the bell part of the flange) to the exhaust pipe/steel and than clamp it with a walker clamp for added control
