Carbed? Eventual Fuel injection? What is your power goal? How much do you have to spend?

Re: Blower???

.... if your planning on staying w/carb, you can't beat one of these for the price;

Re: Blower???

There is no "cheap" way to do a blower. While I have a Weiand 142 on my engine, like was posted above, the engine has to be set up for a blower (mainly lower compression, but also a blower-friendly cam) and there is the little matter of having a cowl hood big enough to fit it under (4" cowl hood minimum for 3rd Gen).

A centrifugal setup would fit under the stock hood, but you still have to have the motor built for boost and there is the added expense of a blow-through modified carb to work with it.

To hit 400HP doesn't require a blower. You can hit that N/A with modern aftermarket heads and cams without great difficulty.

IMO, you have two choices. You can opt for the supercharger kit above, while investing in a new cowl hood that will clear the setup. Or, you can invest in a cheap turbo system. Boost demand won't be that high for your particular goal, so either one will easily get the job done. Just a side note, you can easily reach that goal with the right cam, heads and carb setup, but doing it with a blower is that much sweeter though....
