I have a 91 camaro. Going to swap the 6 for an 400 v8 I've decranked to a 377. Aluminum edalbrock RPM performere heads. 750 or 800 holly 4 barel. Replacing the automatic for a t56 6 speed I took out of a 97 firebird.lol. Beefed up the ten bolt . Bought some ZO6 wheels and tires. And couldn't help my self but bought to turbos for her too.. I need advice like I said with the turbo setup . Inline turbos / twin ...?

1. why would you destroke a 400??
2. throw the carb in the garbage and get fuel injection.
3. throw the 10 bolt in the garbage and get a 9" Ford or 12 bolt.
4 need more info on your turbo.
5. Perpare yourself to spend alot of money.Alot more than you think.

no disrespect but seriously????

destroked 400 will rev quicker due to the shorter rod length.

as for the 10 bolt........i have built mine pretty stout and its lasted quite a long time and im not too easy on my car...

as for the carb he is going to have to either convert it using the hangar18 mods or buy a blow thru carb already set up

ive spent less than 2k on my setup doin the work myself granted if you dont do any research it can be costly in the long run.

some people my not be able to afford a 3000 dallor efi setup, 9" or 12 bolt rear differential assemblies either so we make do with what we have.then upgrade as time goes by

anyways what size turbos did you buy already?
what inter cooler are you going to run an air to air or a air to water to air setup?
how much boost are you looking to run,
what camshaft are you using

what have you done for fuel system modifications? all things to consider when doing a turbo setup

I guess I should have told u I am buying a blow through carb... Oops.. And yes it will be cheaper the full injected. I was looking at an EFi at one time then i found out it would cost 3grand. .lol. Don't think so... As for putting in a 350 crank in the 400 I did do it for the hire rpms.... I put a in a hydraulic comp cam built for mild to med turbo. I got a air to air intercooler Didnt me sure it but Its like a 4 inch/ 38inch. As for the two turbos there both Jays 301E10. I here there both good for 450 hp apeace.. I want her to make 600 Hp so medium boost. Mot sure about fuel system I bought a marine machanical fuel pump.. Ow I got the turbos cheap one was never used and in great condition. The other good ..

Oh boy...

What's the application? Seems that the parts that you list do not add up to a combination that is suitable for a specific application. Some of it sounds like a street car/cruiser, some of it sounds like a race car, things are sized differently...

Rajay turbos are seriously old tech (like as in older than 99% of the people on this board) and hard to get parts for, I'd get something different.

ypur going to want a 750-800 cfm blow through carburetor
.c&s aed and prosystems are all good carb builders and will build one for you once you give them all the specs of the engine, how much boost your looking to push etc

as for the turbos i wouldve went with some master power t60's or even t70's since yours are hard to get parts for.

your going to need to run an aeromotivre a 1000 fuel pump with a return line as well and a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator.

Re: Iam going turbo. But need advice on having one turbo setup to power the other?

not trying to start an argument here but why do people always think a1000 fits it all??

If you had a v6 fuel injected you have an intank pump, replace that sucker with 2 walbros and replace fuel lines, get a $15 boost referenced switch and be done with it, by the time you spend $350 on the a1000 you could have 2 walbros and fuel lines, its also gonna be alot quieter and ive heard mixed reviews from people running a1000s on the streets no need to sump your tank, just my .02. BTW 2 walbros in tank in a stock 3rd gen tank WILL work, ask me how i know.

Get a boost referenced regulator and csu carb, you wont regret it. Your hp goal is daoble.
The 377 likes to rev, im sure the edelbrock rpm will chocke the engine in higher rpms, 6500ish I think they are only 185cc.

Re: Iam going turbo. But need advice on having one turbo setup to power the other?

yeah a1000 is plenty of pump, with 2 walbros youll be able to do 1200hp easy.
The boost switch is so that you are not driving around with both pumps on when you are not in boost. When you hit a certain PSI the switch activates the relay turnin the pump on. So when not in boost you are only using one pump since you dont need the extra fuel.

I wouldn't use a gm 400 block. They have cooling problems as is in NA form......never mind adding higher cyl press to it. I have a 400 block sitting on the floor that I always had big dreams for. Well, that is until I discovered boost and what a boat anchor that GM 400 block is. I would unload those turbos. Finding parts is going to be tough.

You're not going to want to feed one turbo into the other with the ones you have there. If you really wanted to do it that way you'd need one turbo big enough to make your targetted max hp and the smaller one just big enough to hold say 5psi on your motor. For 600hp you're probably looking at about 8psi which is low for twin turbos let alone one feeding the other.
