Hey what is the intercooler you are using?

The 2-230?
I called Spearco today, and they recommended I use the 2-275. I check the price, and its $1750!!!! YOWZA!!

I know you said you are using something smaller. Was it the 2-230? That is probably more my speed...

Guido, It is a 2-230 with a 3" inlet and a 4" outlet. It cost me $1040 shipped to my door. This core will flow 1500cfm with 3" inlet/utlet, and is a very efficient. It all depends on the turbo/super charger output, that is how they sized mine. On the other hand, if I upgraded to a larger "power adder", I would also have to upgrade the intercooler. Just something to think about.
I sent you some pics, feel free to post them, I don't know how to reduce there size.

I called spearco back today and drilled the techie with questions. He said the 230 core would work and admitted that he only looked at "hp ratings" when choosing the 275 core he told me about. I also talked to my intercooler guy I was telling you about.

He told me he can get me the 230 assembly for approx. $800.

So Im going to see what my options are with this guy since he can save me a ****load of cash.

Anything you need, run it by me and I'll see what I can do for you or Tory (if he still needs to buy one??)

Guido - I'm running the 2-182 core with custom fabbed end tanks and 3" in/out, just FYI. It's got quite a bit more frontal area than the 2-170 (15.6x20=312 sq in vs 9x10.125=91.25 sq inches). Aha! A/L stands for Air/Liquid. Ignore me

A.

I ordered mine with 3" inlet 4" outlet, as you can see they are sheetmetal end tanks, not cast.
