Methanol injection, turbo car

Hey guys what's everybody's opinion on where to place nozzles?? Before or after the IAT sensor?? I'm leaning towards having them before the IAT sensor like 15-20 inches before.

def before and that distance is fine but depends what your trying to do and how much meth. The further away from the TB the more it will be for air charge reduction and (more or less depending on meth %)but the longer it’s in the air track the more likely it’s not going to reach the chamber in micro droplet size. I do mine about that and my IAT is in the intake after the TB but I’m only spraying wiper fluid and I’m not looking for IAT drop but detonation resistance in the chambers. Running a FMIC takes care of the temps and I think there is a temp minimum for water to adsorb heat efficiency vs meth like 200+*F vs 140 for meth.

Thanks man. I've had it figured out since this creation. I'm running an AEM system with Snow performance #14 and #16 nozzles and using a check valve course to the nozzles. I'm currently seeing around 100-110 degrees IAT at 20-25 psi of boost at 15* timing

wow, those are low temps for that much boost. Are you running 50/50 mix? Those nozzles are 14 and 16 GPM right? Dats a lot of mix man lol and displacing alot
of air.

Yes sir 14 & 16 GPM nozzles and I'm using Snow performance boost juice 49/51 mix. It's working very well for me. I'm gonna head to this speed shop in the morning and talk about getting it tuned right up. I'll post a pic of my current timing table and the fuel learn table.

I do want to upgrade my 200 psi pump to the 300 psi Snow performance pump so I'll get a better atomization of water meth

Edit: Hey thanks for the reminder for the pump I just wandered over to Summit Racing and picked up the Snow pump with 1/4" quick connect fittings for the best tight seal

learn table looks good, a few cells that are 6-7% off but pretty good. Did you leave the learn percentages to 50/50 or did you reduce? I like to drop the 02 learn to 15-20% once it gets dialed in. That way if your 02 fails it doesn’t stall the motor out and you can limp it home.

I’m not used to seeing MAP in PSI (I use KPA) but 2.3psi at 900-4k rpm’s seems like your MAP is reading artificially high? I assume 1psi is atmospheric or 100-105kpa?

idk if the 300psi is going to really benefit you. You’re spraying like 30 GPM. I’m pretty sure a single pump is not going to be enough. FYI the 300psi pumps really only put out like 220-250psi and it drops quick when your pushing 15-20GPM.

My comps and learn are 15% everywhere except in the idle areas where it's around 6%. Even on a cold start the comps will only go to about 12%. My idle is around 50-53 KPA @23* timing

The AEM pump is lower than that. I'm strictly looking for a better atomization of the fluid
