This is not a problem about the board but instead about some members.
I don't know about everybody else but I am getting tired of some people not replying to some of their posts. What I mean is that someone posts something and many of us reply to the post but then you don't hear from him(her) again. They don't even bother to post a thank you or even something to let you know you have been acknowledged. It's like talking to someone and them looking the other way.
This kind of thing makes some of us (I speak for myself) not too inclined in helping someone else.
If you post something, follow-up.
I had to let that out.

That wasn't nice.
Of course I will reply.
You are right, they get what they want and run. I've had others who send PMs and that's OK. I don't mind helping others if I have the resouces like manuals, books, magazines, etc... It's just a matter of courtesy.

Sometimes...
Sometimes we all get too wrapped up too. I try to help when I can, and when I see something I am familiar with and try to help, some of the other members shoot back at me and flame.
I might be wrong sometimes, but other times I am right. When we are trying to be helpful, destructive criticism doesn't help either.
I don't mind being told I may be wrong about things, but maybe when I might be right, give me a little benefit of the doubt.
Sometimes I just don't want to reply at all. I have gone through a motor swap and have learned a lot from it, and I hope to help out with my own experiences.
I'm definitely am not a "know it all", but there are some that are, or claim to.
I take some of it with a grain of salt... but I do try to help when I can, and listen to others when I need help too.
That's what makes this place work. We all learn from each other. We've done what others have told us IS impossible, and have gone beyond it all.
What is astounding is we can all learn from each other. If anything is a proving grounds for the third generation of Firebirds/Camaros it is right here.
And that's what is so COOL about being here.

Amen to that brother. I'm in the same boat. I too get very busy at times and can't get to the PC for days. But better late than never, I still respond to others and help when I can. I am by no means a mechanic (used to be a generator mechanic in the Army)or even any kind of tech either. But like many others I know how to search for things and if I can't find it then I will be honest with you and tell you. But I will not leave you hanging.
Overall this site is a great resource, and what makes it work is the people who participate. I guess we have to take the bad with the good.

A final update would also be nice for future searching purposes. I don't know how many times I'll search for a topic only to see a bunch of answers and no final update to find out how something went or looked or worked out, etc. That's just the nature of finding information this way. You can have several people say something, but until you have several more that say, yes, I've done this myself and it works or this is how you fix it, then most of the filler in between is useless crap nobody wants to read anyway. Then they just post a new question and get a bunch of "do a search, noob" replies.
IROCZTWENTYGR8, don't even say it.. I know what you're thinking. :sillylol:

Just so some wont say I have abandoned this, well I haven't. But I am dumping it though. I was just a little frustrated.
