Hmmm, you got me, it seems tech related to motor swaps.
Your best bet would be to PM the mods on that board and ask them nicely, if you could have an explanation.

Its not really tech related... its just 3 pics of his car up on jackstands. But like Mark said, PM the mods and ask them

I can't answer the original question but I'll tell you how I approach locking/deleting posts. Whenever I read a post that needs to be closed or deleted on my board (History/Restoration), I will ALWAYS e-mail or PM the poster with an explanation of my action. That way, they are not wondering why.... And any further conversion, if any, is done by PM or e-mail. It clears the air.
as a rule i send a pm if i lock or delete a thread, i don't e mail since i use yahoo e mail it's too much work or trouble, and pms work just fine. if someone knows they're breaking the rules and says so in the thread i don't bother. sometimes i'm short on time and don't, or forget to later. everyone know's moderators are ****** anyway so sending a pm or e mail doesn't change the image any. actually a lot of people are pretty cool about it all, and most of the time i'm enforcing rules i didn't make and some i don't even like

one of the things i usually do is leave a short note as to why the thread was locked.
but, ede is right, a lot of the moderators are viewed as ******.
vader was kind enough to post a text copy of the rules in a thread at the top of this board. if i see any problems in the board that i run, i'll post a copy there.
and, i don't really see you wasting time. you wanted to know, and asked about it politely. nothing wrong with that in my eyes.
here's a suggestion, however. next time you go to post some car photos, try just posting the link
with that said, happy new year
