New Forum Idea > Emissions ???
Now that there is a large amount of members here I think it would be a great benifit to have a board dedicated to emissions where you could discuss the laws in your area and what you can do but still pass. Stuff like cam and exhaust questions. It just seems like there are SO many people here who don't have a clue about emissions laws and it would bea good way for those who do to help those who don't. It would be a very good place for a collections of posts on the subject I think.
Anyone else think this is a good idea?

I know but they are not a Tech/General subject, they are emissions specific questions. I think it would be a great help to others to have an emissions board with the number of members we have but it's not my board so whatever, thanks for your input

The only problem I see is that different areas have different rules on smog. I live in CA which is home of the smog ***** and our rules are a little stricter than maybe another area. Just a thought

It's a good idea in my books. The laws are only going to get more strict. Currently, the tech info on emissions is scattered all over the boards. It is difficult to find accurate/adequate information.

Another issue I just thought of is the legal issue. We don't want the boards getting in trouble because people give all this information on how to dodge the smog check and whatnot. Once again just thinking out loud.
Actually I feel VERY strongly that anyone giving info about how to "dodge" tests should be warned and then banned. That is NOT what they would be for. They would be to educate people one the laws in their area and discuss how to mod their cars LEGALLY...

Yes, especially with our cars getting older and more and more of people I know that have 3rd gens that are having trouble passing smog I think the board could throw some insight on what might be the problem.
