i just had a thought about the tech/non-tech board..
i was sitting looking through the main forum page just a few minutes ago, and here's an idea.
what's the possibility of re-naming the tech/general engine board? my reasoning is that the user sees tech/general engine, and presumes that the other boards are non-tech.
any suggestions, yea/nay?

I see what you mean how the board says Tech, (it used to be called just Tech Board even when there was seperate boards) but thats for questions that might not have a board or other kinds of technical/theory questions/ideas.
Besides, I don't see how some1 could think the other boards are non-tech when they have specfic Tech names, (such as Transmissions, Suspension etc....) the board category is Tech Boards, and there is an agreement when you register that says there will be no no-tech on ThirdGen.Org, and other things such as people seeing those posts getting locked and the post about this on this board.

i don't think anyone reads the agreement when they sign up. i'll tell you straight up that i didn't. i'm the type to figure things out as i go. it's always worked well for me.
however, i think the tech/general engine board could use a slight change of name. how does the "general engine" board sound?

I think the current name is fine. They should know the other boards are non tech because they should have read the user agreement. Maybe upon signing up an email could be sent that summarizes the policy.
