When I goto edit a post I just made.
its says I do not have permission???

 

It is probably due to your "On Probation" title that you have. The admins probably have the "On Probation" group customized so that users in that group are limited, as far as options. They may not want people in that user group changing their own post once it has been made, for reasons they probably have.

But since I'm not with TGO, only Dirk or Iroc can say for certain. But that is my guess, since it is possible to have different usergroups with their own custom settings, and I can edit my own posts just fine.

worst part is I am on probatoin cause someone was being an a** to me just to be a jerk. You can at like one but can't tell people they are one. I call em as I see em.

 

It should be the other way around where people on probation can not post message but they can go back n edit anything they might have said wrong.

not really other wise you would be changeing everything you posted to get you on probation then telling everyone that you were picked on .....by making it where you cant edit your posts now you cant call someone an a$$ or anthing else without having to leave it on the board now and that would result in a ban ......so choose your words wisely ...

 

Definatly some truth to that as its been done here when the mods edit out offending material and then there isnt any proof of what the offenses where after the fact.

There in lies the beauty of the quote botton. They can edit all they want except if someone else quotes them.

Well I know you can do that but most mods won't incriminate anyone in that mannor when we are presenting our case to the admins. I would have also accepted captain doo doo head

Well any case my probation is dumb. Make a rule that people can't act like an a** and I wont have to tell them / point it out.

Its like your allowed to be as rude as you want to people just don't call them on it. A un-named person follows ya around to every post making insults and being an a** for no reason other then he enjoys it. But me pointing that out was a no no.

90% of all his post on this board are just that. [I swear, go ahead n look.] He likes to just make rude comments to be an a** to people for fun as he gets off on starting trouble. I have seen people like him get banned for less. But he seams to have the right friends.

 

Then you should have reported it instead of making a public "situation" which put you On Probation for being even wackier than the other guy IIRC. Sometimes when we do things we have to think......
