If your email address on TGO is correct, and you're using email notification still, then you may want to check your Spam/Junk/Bulk folder if you're using AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. Both like to start dropping such emails into your spam folder one day. Also, in the past, AOL was known to not deliver emails that came from a domain that it deemed as a spam source.
i have not been using email notification, so if there is a problem with TGO's mail server, i wouldn't know, but i would suspect others would be stating the same problem if there was.

I host my own email service. All messages free to come in. My email address is correct as well.
I get about 1/4 of all updates.

You host your own email service or is there an actual provider like your website service? i checked your website but your account has been suspended due to bandwidth limitations.
i opted for notification of this thread, and i received it, just like any other time in the past.
Dirk or Iroc would have to check the mail server logs to see what might be happening. But since i got email notification and i don't see too many other people speaking about having this issue that isn't due to AOL, Yahoo, or Hotmail accounts, i would guess there is a problem with your service.
But i'm not an expert. Good luck.

BTW the bandwidth is gone (or was until I upgraded it yesterday) because of all the huge pics, videos, etc i have hosted lately. Fixed that problem quickly. Email service is separate from web hosting, though.

But do you actually have a mail server yourself, or is your service provided by another host such as your website? i ask because if you do have your email service through a host, it's possible it is their problem. If you have your own email server, then again, it might be your problem.Originally posted by Pro

Sorry, but i can't help. Only Dirk or Iroc can at this point, by checking on the mail server. Since there hasn't been many complaints about this, other than the normal issues with the Spam/Bulk/Junk folders with AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. i would tend to think it's a problem on your end. But i could be wrong.
i guess it's always possible that Dirk implemented a server band-aid for the recent server load issue, in regard to email notifications on this board. Dirk seems to work quietly behind the scenes.
Good luck.
Thanks.
My email is actually hosted by dotster
And I have been through 3 different email addresses while on this board (either 2 or 3) and all have done the same.

The different addresses that you've tried, have they all been hosted from the same provider (dotster)? That is the important question. i haven't used dotster myself, but i know of some other providers that have been known to not always deliver the email, or within a timely manner. So it's possible the problem is with your provider. It happens. Might want to try another source, like a gmail account, Yahoo, etc.
Also to add, i got another email notification for this updated thread, so i have not seen any problems myself, yet.

For what it's worth, I contacted dotster about it.Originally posted by JT

There is a hidden feature within the configuration panels (dont you hate that) that lets a sender send me an email only every 5 mins (everything sent in between the 5 min countdown is deleted).
They have some major email issues to work out. Seriously - like email just never being sent out. Messages never coming in. Deleting a message via webmail, and ALL of them deleting. Replying to a message, but it sends the reply through ANOTHER email (found this out when I told a prospective employer to F-OFF... should have gone to an old college friend. Didnt get that interview).
Glad you got it resolved. i know what it is like to have a host with email issues, like not being able to access your email via local email client or web based for periods of time, or even have emails delayed for hours.
