I love the new classifieds board as its a step forward as to what it should be like. Its now updated to how all the other forums online are like. I hope it stays the way it is and doesn't change back.

I too must agree. I like the classified boards much better than the old system.

I don't like seeing classified ads when I click "View New Posts."

I must admit though, it kind of convenient to have all the things accessable through the main boards.

Perhaps there's a way to make parameters for the "Search new posts" so it searches every area except the classifieds. I don't know....

This would be very easy to do with vBulletin. It would be very easy to tweak that Search New Posts string, to omit those forums.

As i mentioned in another thread (https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=276832) you could do so much more with it, as well:

For what it is worth, with some extra tweaks, that can be made to prevent replies from being posted to, if that was a concern. Furthermore, you can tweak the templates to allow form fields, such as Price and Contact information, making the data more uniform, and also preventing people who sometimes forget to post those details.

I agree, it clutters up the "View New Post" page.

It should be a LAW that you have to post your state/area in your post TITLE.

Again why I recommend a 50-post minimum before you can sell here.

werd. Too many newly registered people selling big $$$ items. I've already have some good deals, but still... kinda sketchy!

Good thing is, I have seen TONS of new members since the classifieds have opened, and many are participating on the tech boards too!
