Bleeped words

I noticed in a post in which I used the words "A *** given right" that the word "***" was replaced by "***". I am not aware of any rules against the word ***. I asked people about the word ***, and no one seemed to know why the word *** would not work on a website, so I went GOOGLE and there are millions of websites with the word ***. Maybe there something wrong with TGO from the crash. If anybody knows about the word *** on TGO, let me know please.

people were getting offended by others using the word g0d..

mostly because this is a car board, people would say stuff like" the g0d damn alternator isnt working!" or whatever.

the following "unusualy blocked" words are blocked... because of frequent usage in a derogatory manner....

r!ce
Red - neck
most other racial slurs (except honky cause your car can do that )
g0d

and im sure im forgetting others.

generally you can edit somthing within a couple mins after you post, without it appearing edited... so if you said somthing and it was blocked, its generally better to go back and just rephrase it.

btw, going around the filters without reason is heavily frowned upon..

Some people have a little thing about "taking the Lord's name in vain".

The filters are simply removing the option of people being inadvertently offensive. As always, the filters are just a few dumb strings of code that have no intellignece, and can't infer a poster's meaning, so they just get all instances of the word. If it really bothers you, you can use "Lord" in its place. That one is very infrequently used in vain. Go figure.

You may also find that you cannot use other common, unoffensive terms because of the potential for them being "naughty". For example, you cannot drain your radiator through the customary device attached to the bottom of the radiator tank, but will have to open the "radiator drain valve" instead. If you have a domesticated and trained chicken as a companion, you're just plain stuck...

Well, whaddya know? That filter must have been fixed.

So, do you raise a LOT of chickens, or just a few prized ones?

Both while I was growing up on the farm, but the only one that could be called a pet was actually a hen, so no worries there.
