can we modernize the classifieds boards?

It seems like the parts for sale boards have been jumping lately. Would it be possibly to make smaller separate classifieds, with things like drivetrains(motors, trans, rear ends), interior(plastic panels, carpet, etc), exterior(ground effects, body panels, doors, etc), and so on. Seems that in one day a post drops back 4 pages and is tough to get people to respond with it so far back.

I think its a good idea, though most outsiders i have a feeling wouldnt follow them very well, but i think that could be a nice edition.

i don't think it would be any tougher than following the main message boards, same principles would apply

It's definetly possible to make specific boards within boards. Maybe something to think about here.

Steve-
It was brought up on the Admin/Mod board, but nothing was decided

I think it would be a good idea though.

That's an excellent idea, I use search but maybe everyone else doesn't and sometimes search is too broad. When I list something it is lost on the bottom pile in no time so you have my vote.

If it's like work here, then they'll set up a committee to talk about it, then a sub-committee to get more details, then hire a specialist to determine the benefits of it, etc,etc..................

Actually, 88txiroc - one of the moderators for the Classifieds, was going to poll and see what the consensus was. There is pros and cons for this suggestion.

Perhaps 88txiroc got busy or side tracked.

This sounds like a pretty good idea.

Maybe some categories like

Camaros and Firebirds f/s
Body and interior parts
Steering, Suspension, chassis, Wheels & tires
Axles & Transmission
Engine parts
Cooling & Fueling, Electronics & ignition
Intake and Exhaust parts

I liike the idea, it'd also make searching for a certain part/piece alot easier instead of having to weed through all the new posts to find what your looking for.

Dont get yourself ! Just kidding!

Sorry for the delay. At least I have a good excuse: My wife had a kid, so I had to spend some time with them. 8.4 pounds and 21.25 inches. Oh, and it's a boy, of course!

Anyway, ! I finally posted a poll on the Parts board.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/part...assifieds.html

Make sure it the word gets out for people to vote. I am going to give it 7 days and see where we are at.
