pic of the month sticky in Auto Detailing...?

I hit up ls1tech every now and then, and I really like how they have a pic of the month entry....gives people a chance to show off their ride without having people demand a reason for doing so. Plus over on that site there are so many vettes, 4th gens, and gto's...it's a rare sight to see a thirdgen get any rep. So I just figured I'd suggest maybe trying it out for a month and at least see how it goes. You could set ground rules such as only submitting one pic (to save bandwidth) and to keep things interesting you can do 'theme' months such as 'black and white photos only' or certain angle shots etc.

for the time and consideration at the very least

I've put my car in there before with other thirdgens. But it's clear they are only intersted in 4th gens. Sounds like a fun idea though.

yea so have I, and it was made clear to me real quick that 4th genners despise the hood even more than my fellow thirdgenners

I like the idea too; especially when we have the winner's pic on the main page of TGO

I don't really see 4 people counting as a lot of people, to be honest. While I think it is interesting and worth consideration, TGO is largely tech-only. Beyond that, I can see some problems that this would cause. We already get "hate mail" when one's car isn't included in the Gallery. Some have even stooped to the level of cutting cars that do make it into the Gallery.

We already have a Firebird and Camaro section in the A&D forum (after this idea was posted) where members can simply post pictures of their cars to show it off, and have a clean discussion about it.
