Rare iroc for sale

Just saw this car on in ocala fl for sale never seen a 1985 iroc with this color combo and the 5sp. Seems like in decent shape even comes with a parts car not a bad price in my opinion.

Re: Rare iroc for sale

IDK, the interior is wasted, leather falling off the steering wheel, milky signal lights... When he says it comes with a parts car, and a pile of parts, AND it "needs a total restoration", I'm inclined to suspect this is one of those cars that looks good in pics, but is rougher than a corn cob in person.

I had the same Car, and it was a 1985 305 5 speed, when I was 20 years old. Red Interior but not those Camaro themed seats. Its a potential for a rebuild but I would only pay $2000 for it.

Ive also seen the same car in HO 5spd here in my hometown a neighbor had one but not with those seats. Didn't those seats come on 83-84?

Re: Rare iroc for sale

My first thought was that the seats aren’t original.. I’ve never seen those in an IROC..

Most 85s had that velour type interior I thought..

Cool! It’s unusual to see those seats in an IROC.. maybe it is a bit of a rare car in some respects..

Re: Rare iroc for sale

Cool, but that interior will cost a small fortune to fix and you'll never find the correct bolster fabric anywhere.

Re: Rare iroc for sale

A friend of my brother had an 85 Iroc red with red camaro interior lb9/auto,t-tops back in 95'.
Looks like a cool car,it would be a lot of work. The interior would be expensive to replace,I love the Camaro seats/door panels. If it was a little closer I would check into it,but like Drew said it is probably rougher than a cob in person.

Re: Rare iroc for sale

Back when I was just a sprout, only a few short weeks into owning my first Camaro, I walked into the auto shop class at my highschool and another student had brought in his 82 or maybe 83 Z28, white with silver gfx, the red/orange stripes, sparkling with it's CFI 305 harkening to 69 Z28 Cross-Ram 302 glory, Muncie four speeds, and 8K RPM shifts, visions danced in my head as I slowly soaked it all in... To say I had a little Z28 envy was to put it mildly. I thought about the benefits of EFI over my clunky carb, the gfx and that bitchen functional hood, all those badges rubbing my place on the totem pole in my face...

Just then I peered inside the cockpit, and WHAMMY! What The Firetruck was this? Is this a joke? I laid my disbelieving eyes on the most sincerely garish and gawdy interior ever, beyond my comprehension of how silly an interior could be... Red, Orange, and Brown? Lear Siegler "CAMARO CAMARO CAMARO CAMARO MUSHROOM! MUSHROOM!" interior.

I think that's when I took a few steps back and noticed the 4ft tall "Wizard" behind the curtain. Those waking dreams of 1969 Z28 greatness faded away, and I saw the world a bit differently. Suddenly I had a greater appreciation for my idiot lights and ridiculously huge gas gauge.

The CFI spark still lingered for a few months until that summer when I took a 82 Z28 for a spin. That experience sealed the deal, from there on out it was 350 TPI or TPI 5spd or bust.
