History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!
For some reason that's another color combo I've always loved. Really need to liquidate some vehicles so when nice cars like this come up I can buy them.
I agree! But I'm conflicted, lol! The low mileage makes it desirable, but it's only an lg4. I don't think I'd pay the asking price, but I'd start at 8k and maybe go 9 something?
I gain more appreciation for the LG4 the deeper I get into this. You can swap a 350 into one and make it look close enough to stock that no one will really know, and the potential for performance is better than a TPI car. I'd rather see an LG4 car with a 400hp 350 breathing through a 4bbl carb, than a L98 car that's been swapped. Granted you have to throw away a lot of stock parts, but then those stock parts on a LG4 car are pretty terrible. A person could even run the LG4 while making upgrades that'll work with an eventual 350 upgrade.

I believe the gears on an '86, LG4, sticks were 3.23 standard or optional 3.73. Either one of those with an N10 exhaust, (manifolds to I-pipe) and HO air cleaner would make a fun to drive package.
Cool car! I even dig the crank windows as no one sees that anymore.. I had that interior in my 1985 Z28 and it probably holds up better than any interior on these cars..
I had white with black ground effects on my 85.. very similar.. was an auto, but TPI with T-tops.. was a fun car..
I would buy that car. Love the color combo. LG4 / 5 speed can run mid to low 14s with some very basic mods and still look bone stock. Love the black interior.

I totally agree. I like how Ja85z28 made his to look just like an HO and warmed the Lg4 over. I would build something similar to the zz4 or something of that range and put it in there. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this car at 8500-9 and build it to my liking.

Re: TOO BAD IT'S AN 86...
I really like the color combination on that... looks great... Were the wheels originally painted to match the stripe? even so, they look right on the car.

YES YES YES! ...although while I love the Z28....I'd have to have some COLOR in there beyond just black and silver. It IS sharp though.
