Speedo cable problem

Transmission: 700r4, 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.23, 3.23
Speedo cable problem

My cable appears to be broken off in the housing any clue how to get it out or what i need to replace ?

You might be looking at a new Gear. You can pull it and could the teeth I think green cane in 42 & 45

I know its a 3.23 rear so i belive thats green. Also if i pull the housing and gear will the trans fluid leak out ?

Grab a rare earth magnet, tweezers, or needle nose pliers and try to pull the old cable spur out of the gear. Might be able to poke it out with a wire from the back side, but I'm not sure the hole goes all the way through.

I tried to pry it out with a small flat head and needle nose pliers but only got a couple little parts. Im gonna take the housing off in the morning and see if im able to poke the rest of it out from the back of the gear

Welp guess I'll still take the gear out so I can count the teeth and makesure I get the right one
