Re: ACC floor mats

I hope yours are better than mine, they fuzz up so much I'm surprised there's any carpet left on them.

Re: ACC floor mats

Those look nice. I got the less expensive ones and they aren't too impressive for the price.

Re: ACC floor mats

I also bought the basic ACC mats, but was quite impressed with the quality and color match (1990-92 Flame Red). I'm not really into aftermarket/non-stock looking mats though, I was looking for closest to OEM as possible, and they're nearly identical in design to my worn-out factory mats. No fuzz/shedding to speak of, have had them for 10 months now. I got them on rockauto.com for around $80/shipped, which is considerably less than a set of fancy Lloyd mats, which I think are far superior to the up-level ACC mats since they cover a lot more area, and the edges don't look nearly as cheap/baseketweavy.

Would be cool if the basic ACC mats had the correct rubber "GM" squares for the front driver and passenger, but I guess I'll have to just find a spare pair, dye them to match, and glue them on.

Re: ACC floor mats

The basic mats are identical in design and contour because ACC used my original mats to create these. The only thing they couldn't do was recreate the GM logo. They decided to improve on the back side, since it's not visible while in the car and put the rubber nibs that hold them in place better than the factory mats. They offer these in a stitched edge (non factory looking) or with a fabric band edge, cut at an angle at the bottom (factory style).

That's pretty cool, thank you for doing that. I'll have to look at my set and see which version I have - I didn't pay much attention to the edging when I purchased them.

I took my GM Logos and glued them to the new mats.

Re: ACC floor mats

Mantaguy that looks pretty good.

I grabbed one of my original mats from the shed to compare and I guess the basic ACC ones are they equivalent. I take back my statement lol.

Wtv, now I know next time I need to order from ACC to get the more expensive ones for the plushness

I'm about to do this. Do you remember what kind of glue you used? I figure I only get one shot at it.

Re: ACC floor mats

I'm pretty sure I bought this at the Home Depot, works great(still stuck to mats),don't over apply, you don't want oozing out the sides.

Thanks! Maybe I'll also shave down the carpet fuzz a bit where the logo will sit.
