Re: HEADLIGHT HELP PLEASE
headlights were working then suddenly stopped last night. Interior lights aren't working but I also have the fuse pulled connected to the power antenna as the motor on that won't stop. Anyways back to the lights. so I replaced the headlamp switch and still no luck and just kinda running out of idea's

Re: HEADLIGHT HELP PLEASE
I swear I’ve seen the headlight switch wiring diagram around here just within the last half hour doing a search using “replace headlight switch” as the search. I would check the grounds and relays within the headlight wiring. I apologize for not being more exact but I’m learning these cars right now by rebuilding an 88 IROC as we speak. I understand the frustration though. Are your taillights working as that might rule some of the possibilities out?? Any other exterior lights working at all?

Re: HEADLIGHT HELP PLEASE
Ok there is not a lot of things to go wrong. Since both are out it’s most likely a common component or connection and they are headlight switch and dimmer switch. The headlights have separate grounds so that is unlikely. Fusing is provided by a fusible link you can test by checking voltage on the red wire on the headlight switch. No voltage there = blown fusible link. If voltage on red is battery voltage then check yellow with the switch in the on position. Again should be same as the red. If you get here dimmer is the next thing in line before the lights themselves and is suspect. You can access the dimmer switch and check for power through the contacts. If nothing is getting through then you found your problem.
This all assumes factory wiring.
