Keep your eyes open for me
I was making my way home today and was about 45 min. from my house (after a 10 hour drive)....and a guy pulled out in front of me (about 40 feet) and I T-boned him. I'm ok, but the car looks like it's going to be totalled. Will try and get pictures tomorrow.
But anyway - if you see an 87 - 92 GTA anywhere soon - let me know. I might be in the market for one.

Any of you guys heard of State and County Mutual Fire Insurance Company?
I just got off the phone with them and they had the nerve to ask me if I exchanged information with the insurer and got his phone number. Then they told me they don't have an adjuster but will have one by Monday. Now I'm kindof scared they're going to try to rip me on my car.
Also....they're "investigating" the accident to see who's at fault. Makes no sense....he was issued a ticket for failure to yield. How can it not be his fault.

guess this is my personal rant thread - but I'm gonna use it.
By Kelley Blue Book value - any of you should be able to go to a dealer and buy a mint ( absolutely flawless 100,000 mile) 87 GTA for under 3 grand. Sure hope this incompetent insurance company doesn't go by blue book value. I'm about to scream.

there is a reason they call it an insurance settlement. The settlement is an agreed price. They will try to lowball you at first, but if you can show what you paid and go from there, you may be OK. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" is especially true for insurance companies. Also, do not release your car to them until you are settled. Not only will this speed up the process, but could help you from getting the shaft as well.
sorry to hear about your wreck that really sux. i havent seen any GTAs for sell around here. insurance companies suck. jon is right dont give them anything until you get your money. you should get what it will take you to replace your car. after all it was his fault not yours. if not for him you could be drivin your car. good luck.

what kind of work and where?
if it's mainly interior, I've got that covered. Going to transfer all of my stuff over to the new one.
