Posi-Trac?

Quick Question, How do I know if I have rear posi-traction? Did any iroc's come with it? Posi-trac is when both wheels spin at the same tiem right? Like I said before I don't know much about the mechanics of cars, only what I have learned on these sites. One more question. What is the advantage of posi-trac?

The easiest way to tell is to jack up your car from the rear end and spin the rear tires with your hand. If the other wheel spins in the opposite direction, then you have an open rear end. If they spin in the same direction, then you have posi.

The benefits to posi is of course that both wheels put power to the ground, instead of one. Posi rears are a little worse than an open rear in the rain, but who cares about that.

You can find the gear ratio of your rear end by looking up your car in the tech articles on the page.

because i have a th-350 with a 3500 stall and want to get a little better highway speed out of her, plus i dont plan on keeping the 2:73's that long before i get my 9 inch so i just want to try them out for a while, let me know, i can swap them in about 2 1/2 - 3 hours , you buy the fluid
