We could try BAD *** COFFEE.... I could block off some parking places for us and I'll have a 10 x 10 tent out there as well.....the coffee shop is like starbucks ,but they have food and a bigscreen tv as well as a valcano...... and IHOP is next door....another good place would be Cullen Park....it's on Groschke near Mayde Creek High School....plenty of parking and covered tables....we could all bring our own food....so we don't have to worry about some one not showing (I'm good for that here lately).......they have restrooms as well, but you may want to bring your own t.p......my office is next to BADASS as well so getting in out of the heat is not a problem there...............

For the monthly, we were staying away from the parks and save them for the bigger "annual" meets--trying to keep the monthlys as simple as possible, where we donot have to deal with food as well as the outdoor summer heat. I think an AC indoor location is better suited for the monthlys.

I know there's about a gazillion places along Beltway 8 or I-10 W, but I'll go wherever everybody wants to go! I'm not picky.

Since we have been West, South East and North already, how about South West?
There is a Hooters on 59 in Stafford and a BBQ joint on the other side of the freeeway has a car show every Saturday night.

East? Not yet that I know of.
I copied this from Craigs thread about Cruz-in times list of shows...
"STAFFORD - Saturday Nights. Ottos Barbeque. The Fountains Shopping Center. Fountain Lakes. Lupe, 281-437-0606.
"
There is also a Sams Boat over there now, but I don't think it has a car show...too bad, the parking is a lot better than on Richmond.

If we stay in the rotation we have been making around the city, and going by the groups of thirdgenners on the stickied list at the top of the board, this month (August) should be either NW or true west.
I wasn't real sure if we should do a SW meet in September, since there are only a few of us, but I guess in all fairness we should. We have one new guy (kickboxerrichey), but not sure if he's gonna be an active member or not. I would definately like to do a SW monthly meet, and go the the car show at Otto's BBQ. I go there about once a month now as it is. I would love to go with all the other thirdgens in force, escpecially there, because there is a lot of fourth gens that hang out there!!!
The next meet after that should be in the SE area since there is a major concentration of members (actually the biggest on the stickied list!)
There are no actual East members to speak of on the list, so there is no point in going to the east side of town, so the month after that we should probably go back up north somewhere like we just did for the July meet.

Hey, TOMBALL IS NW HOUSTON AREA !
It's "in between" Hooter's on 45+1960 and Katy.
I know of a really nice shaded park with a big covered pavilion, BB-Q pits and plenty of parking. And it's easy to get to (simple directions to follow).
I vote Tomball.

"Where is bad *** coffee? What cross street?"
The address is 5571 Hwy 6 N. It is south of W. Little York ....that is the closest major cross street....Timber Creek Place lane is shown south of it here on this map ,but it is North of the coffee shop.

Any other suggestions?
We have a couple good suggestions from xtremeirocz + 84ZMike.
The Aug meet location should be somewhere from 290 down to I-10W (or there abouts)-- 610 out to Hwy 6. Relatively close to the freeways.
Everybody keep an eye out for any other good suggestions/ locations, while U are out cruising around this weekend. Later in the week, we will put up a poll for everybody to vote on, and deceide where the Aug monthly meet will be held.
Since we would be relatively close to the Sam's Club Sat night car show, that would be the obvious choice for somthing to go do after the meet is over, but as always, if anybody knows of anything else going on, or has any other suggestions that would be cool to go do as a group, PLEASE post up!

Meeting there kinda kills the mass cruise part to the show. I kinda always look forward to that.
I guess we could all fire up and circle the block, but somebody would probably still get lost!
Actually, I have s suggestion also for the location, but I can't remember the name of the place. I will check it out and maybe cruise by there to make sure they are still open these days--good food-- good location-- and the owner is a car guy, I know from years ago.

I plan on putting up a "poll" on Saturday to let everybody vote and deceide where the Aug monthly meet will be. We have several good suggestions already, but if there are any more, PLEASE post them NOW!
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the Aug monthly meet. We are leaving the day before--Fri/Aug 12th-- to go the the 1/24th scale Slot Car National Championships in LA, for 10 days, and then come back thru Las Wages NV. for 4 days, (or until we run out of money)!
Oh Yeah, the Sept. monthly will be in the SW area of HOU. on Sept 10th. Even though we have only a few members in that area, we have a major celebrtion/announcement (IMO) from one of the members.

Hey Blackwidow,
Where abouts on 10 is Steak Kountry. What cross street?
The poll is going up tomorrow, and we will vote and deceide the location for the Aug monthly meet.

Yup it's right next to IKEA right off the freeway, westbound if coming from 610.

Monday I ended up meeting a client at Fuddruckers at Beltway 8 and I-10, and it occured to me that this is the perfect place for the Aug monthly meet!
Excellent burgers --BEER-- reasonably priced-- BEER -- nice relaxed atmosphere --BEER -- Excellent location --BEER --easy access--BEER -- makes for a good cruise to Sam's club Sat night Car show afterwards --BEER--
Oh Yeah.......and did I mention they have BEER ? (somebody tell Rudy) and and good prices too --32 oz on tap/3.50 --pitchers --ETC
I will put up the poll for everybody to vote on it, but I have a feeling, I know what the results will be!!!
